At JarWise, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your information. This app was designed to help you manage your personal finances locally and securely.

📌 1. Information we collect

By default, the app does not collect or transmit any data. All data you enter (income, expenses, payments, settings) is saved only on your device.

There are three specific situations in which information is sent to external services, always voluntarily:

a) Sign in (optional)

If you choose to sign in with Google or email, Firebase Authentication is used to verify your identity. In that case, the following are processed: your email address and a unique user identifier (UID). This information is used to link your account with optional features such as the Pro Plan, and may be used to send you app-related communications (see section 5).

b) AI Assistant (only for users who actively use it)

When you write a message in the AI Assistant chat, that message is sent to our own server to generate a response. Conversations are not stored permanently or shared with third parties. The server only receives your query text and the minimum context needed to respond. If you don't use the AI Assistant, none of your data reaches the server.

c) Anonymous usage analytics

The app uses Firebase Analytics to record anonymous usage events (for example: which screens are visited, which features are used most). This information contains no personal or financial data, and is used solely to improve the app experience.

🔐 2. Backups and export

The app allows you to export your data as a local Excel file (.xlsx).

If you choose to back up to Google Drive, the app requests access to your Google account solely to save or restore that file. The app does not read any other content in your Drive.

Using a security key to encrypt the backup is optional.

You have full control over your backups.

❌ 3. Advertising

This app does not display ads of any kind.

👤 4. Requested permissions

The app may request access to:

Storage: to save and read Excel files generated by you.

Biometrics or PIN (optional): to protect access to the app or backup, if you enable it.

Google account (optional): only if you sign in or use Drive backup.

None of these permissions are used for purposes other than those described.

📩 5. Communications

If you choose to sign in to the app, your email address may be used to occasionally send you JarWise-related information, such as important news and updates, new available features, or relevant information about your account or the Pro Plan.

These communications are infrequent and will never include third-party advertising or spam. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to the email with the subject "Unsubscribe" or by writing to us at pablovsky.apps@gmail.com. Your email address will never be shared with third parties or used for purposes other than those described in this policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy if new features are added. Any changes will be announced on this page with the update date.
